My first Military Ball date--freshman year.  We doubled with Fred and (I think it was Dorothy).  Jim was a kind and funny soul who my father called "baby face" because he had such a sweet (and young) countenance. Bill and I stayed in touch with Jim and Eileen over the years--first during law school and dental school days in Lincoln and then with family camping outings in Wyoming.   We were very sad to hear he died so suddenly, and I will miss not seeing him at the gathering in Omaha.

Just reading over the deceased list makes me very, very sad of some of the great classmates we have lost .Was surprise to see Jims name on the list ,Like Candy May West said he was a very kind soul .Over at Monroe Jr. High they were going to teach the 7th graders to dance ,For a while Jim was my partner .Later Jim and Vicki Packard were picked as our 7th grade royalty .Jim used to come crash parties at my house with Hap  .Such fun we all had  ! He was a good person and I'm glad I had an opportunity to know him .Good classmate

This is really difficult to write. I first mike Jim in Boy Scouts. His father was our Scout Master, our meetings were held at St.Paul Methoidist Church. What a great guy, hopefully he considered me a friend. We did many things together, sports-football, ROTC,High-Y, and many partys in the Old Snake Pit, my parents basement party room.

After High School, I had a chance to go on a fishing, kayaking trip up to Ely,MN with Jim & Stan Burchfield, we took my 59 VW BUG, it was cheap on gas !!!

Later on, while on a business trip to Colorado, I had an opportunity to visit Jim & Ilene in Greely,CO. Jim was a Dentist by then and had a great practice going. When I learned of his death, I was in shock.

What a loss, he was the kind of person, anyone would want be like, and to have a son, just like him. I was very, very lucky to have known Jim.

Jim Huff was one of my best friends since Monroe Junior High until his death.  He was an inspiration to all who knew him. I was very proud to sponsor him on his induction into the Benson High Hall of Fame in 2002. He and Eileen were dear friends and we had so many good times together. He loved Benson(as we all do)and will be sorely missed at the reunion.
