My other best friend. He reminded me of James Dean. Smart, confident, always in trouble. As I remember it his father was a Marine and a band leader and his mother was a very beautiful singer with band. As any rate, he joined the Navy and served in Viet Nam. After he came back, he may have died by suicide, could have been an accident.

I knew Steve from swim team---seem to recall he seriously injured himself diving one year---but as Dick said, he was a terrific diver--and fun to be around. He added a lot of humor and fun to our team.
